This year @RumUnited and Pittsburgh Cocktail Week (@PGHCW) team up to kick off the first event of #RumDayPGH with the #RumBQue on Saturday, June 21st from 5-9pm! Presale tickets are available for $30.00 online until noon the day of the event. At the door tickets will be $40.00. Admission includes hog roast (veggie option available) and complimentary Rum Punches all afternoon.
Our event will be held at Bayardstown Social Club (@Bayardstown) located on 3008 Penn Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15201. Bayardstown borrows its name from the historical moniker for the inhabitants of the area and the legendary Bayardstown Boys (rats). The common space is meant to serve city dwellers looking for a unique outdoor space.
Food and dessert will be provided by @MartysMarketPGH and @PGHPieGuy. Marty's Market opened in July 2012 to connect Pittsburghers who demand fresh, full-flavor, high quality food with the regional farmers who are committed to growing it. Roasted whole hog featuring local, humanely and sustainably raised Berkshire pork from North Woods Ranch in Warrendale, PA served as Cochiaita Pibil tacos w/pickled organic red onions, organic black beans and cilantro rice.
The Pittsburgh Pie Guy is a pop-up bakery in a rental kitchen in Friendship. They only use the freshest seasonal local produce and ingredients available. All produce is sourced from within a 50-mile radius of downtown Pittsburgh including the flour from wheat grown and milled in PA. All of their pies are completely from scratch.
1st Annual Rum Punch Challenge - Enjoy ridiculously rambunctious rum punches and vote for your favorite as some of Piitsburgh's finest booze brethren engage in a contest of gargantuan proportions.
